Welcome!
ArcticNet’s sixth Annual Scientific Meeting (ASM2009) will be held from 8 to 11 December 2009 at the Fairmont Empress Hotel and adjoining Victoria Conference Centre in Victoria, British Columbia.
As the largest annual Arctic research gathering held in Canada, the ArcticNet annual meeting is the ideal venue to present results from all fields of Arctic research and stimulate networking and partnership activities.
Building on the success of previous ASMs and on last year’s Arctic Change 2008 International conference, the 2009 meeting welcomes researchers, students, policy makers and stakeholders to address the global challenges and opportunities brought by climate change in the Arctic.
In collaboration with the Association of Polar Early Career Scientists (APECS), ArcticNet is proud to take part in the IPY International Early Career Researcher Symposium. This career development workshop brings early career Arctic and Antarctic researchers together for a series of training sessions to develop professional skill, work with senior mentors, and develop international and interdisciplinary collaborations.
We look forward to welcoming you in Victoria for another successful ArcticNet Annual Scientific Meeting.
