Call for Sessions
The Call for Sessions is now closed.
General Topics
The ASM2018 will be the largest national venue for scientific exchange across a broad range of Arctic research disciplines in natural, human health and social sciences. General topics to be addressed include, but are not restricted to:
Session Format
Individual 90-min sessions will be in groups of six 15-min talks, or five talks with one double-length (30-min) talk available at the discretion of the co-Chairs. If needed, more than one individual 90-min session can be requested by proponents. Chairs may designate up to two presenters as “Invited” in each session. Invited presenters are still required to submit an abstract and pay registration fees. Chairs may choose to use the 30-min talk for an overview. Sessions will be scheduled by the ASM2018 Organizing Committee after abstracts have been received.
Call for Abstracts
The Call for Abstracts for Plenary and Topical Sessions will be issued in June 2018, once the selection of Topical Sessions is finalized. The deadline for abstract submission will be September 7, 2018. Abstracts will be accepted for both oral and poster presentations. Presentations will be selected to cover diverse fields of Arctic research. A good balance of junior and senior scientists will also be encouraged. Given the limited number of oral presentation slots available, the Organizing Committee, in collaboration with session Chairs, may assign some abstracts to the poster session. Both oral and poster presentations carry equal weight and abstracts will be published for both. Authors will be informed of the final format of their presentation in October 2018.
